View Full Version : Father's Day card
I just finished these for a TAC swap. It's nothing fancy. I used the water color crayons for the truck and grass and then chalked the background color with a sponge. Would like an opinion or two or threee...lol

What opinion??... I used to have a home ec. teacher that said "Your supposed to make it store bought!" Well that was the best compliment ... yep this looks store bought!!
Great Job!!

Very nice, Donna. It is a nice "handmade" card, not "homemade."

I love it. I can't believe you're doing Father's day cards already. I never even go to Easter ones.
Thanks ladies for the kind words.
Cass it was not my choice to do Father's Day cards, don't have anyone to give one to but my SIL. http://forum.startascrapbook.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gif This was the April Swap for TAC group I'm in and I didn't have any stamps that she required for masculine but this was a choice and didn't know what to do with it other that HFD.
Anyone else have an idea of how to use this stamp, other than bday?
TIA

Donna, I love that card. Is that a TAC stamp? I need to get one like that. My dh has a 16 x 20" pen & ink drawing that a man in our area does of real cars. Dh's looks so much like that stamp!
Yes Judy that is a TAC stamp.
Thanks for the kind comment.

What a great look!
Is that a sentiment stamp -"happy father's day"? I have Quikutz alpha dies that look just like those letters.

WOW, I just luv this card
Brings back memories of the truck that was under a tree between fields on grandpa's farm, and all the fab. places I went to in my minds eye, even went to the moon in that truck, thank goodness it did not run.
Sorry going down memory lane here, that is what popped in my head when I seen this. LOL
Again thanks ladies for all the kind words. Tammy I can see you sitting in the truck as a kid and your mind running wild. My brother had a truck like that too.
That is another stamp from TAC (HappyFather's Day) that particular set has just about all the occasions that you would need for card making.

Donna, what about retirement for that stamp? You sit, let the grass grow up around you...
Also, it could be for any man general occasion; I think they like getting cards, too, they just can't show it as much.
Nice work!
