I was just thinkin you could print one yourself but then again how would it take the 12 inch piece? I looked at the page maps and the person did use that long of a photo. Maybe a photo shop could do it for you? I'm looking to copy a LO I did for Tanisha so she can have a copy too. I'll ask if UPS or FedEX Kinkos can do it or maybe try Wolf Camera.

oooo, sorry, I didn't even realize that it was a 12" photo. I can only print to 11 with my photo paper. Maybe you can put (3) 4x6's coordinating photos stacked vertically instead.

Here's my take on the sketch. This was Easter and as you can see the boys are just thrilled that I'm taking pictures again. That's what the journaling says too.
I didn't have a pic that big so just decided to do that side 6x12. And of course used that big brad instead of the two hearts. I'm really try to use my stash and not keep saving it for something special. LOL

Cuz someone looks VERY "manly" in this pic http://forum.startascrapbook.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gif

Donna I think it came out great using a smaller photo on the pp rather than the 6 x 12. The boys look like they are thinking....there she goes taking pictures again!

Atty Great way to make the LO work! Really nice pictures to scrap with - love the boys' expressions! One of my sons started to do a quick turn backwards when the camera came out - now we tease him that he wasn't a-round at that event.

Thanks ladies for the kind words. Yes the boy say all the time, geesh more pictures. The youngest one now says oh dont forget your camera....then laughs. I'm not sure I've ever seen a 12x12 or 12x6 photo so guess I'll have to check out her site.

ok well at Wolf camera it costs 16.99 to print a 12X12 or 14.99 if you're a member. They'd have to do that size for a 6X12 too because they don't have that ratio. http://forum.startascrapbook.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_razz.gif I want to know how these people printed a 6X12 pic!

OMG!!! I got a response in like 5min from Becky!!!! Not the whole photo like what's in the example but it's a good tip.

Hi Melissa,

Thank you for your email. A good solution if you don’t have oversized photo paper is to find a photo that can be cut somewhere along the height (for instance, the bottom third). Print the two pieces that equals 12” in length, place them on your page, and run a strip of ribbon or paper from edge to edge to cover the “cut.” I’ve done this many times with great results.

Hope this answers your question!

looked at office depot the only 11X14 paper is for inkjet printers. You'll have to check your printer manual and see if you can use you're manual feed tray. prices 29.99 to 39.99.

office depot search (http://www.officedepot.com/browse.do?Ne=2000000025&Nr=200000&N=267129+4294945212)

I can imagine that you won't fit the 11 x 14 paper in your injet printer tho - it will only accept up to 8.5" wide. So why not try legal size at 8.5 x 14 ?? That should give you a 12" picture!

I have a color printer at work that does 11x17's but I've never tried a photo in it. I have no idea if we have big enough photo paper for it.
Ziggy, I like your ribbon covering the seam idea.

lol yeah can't find that size though!!! http://forum.startascrapbook.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_razz.gif

You'd have to take the 11X14 and cut it down!

That's Becky's idea Cass http://forum.startascrapbook.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gif Good quick response on the page maps site. I'm thinkin that's what I'd have to do since there's no photo paper that big for laser. I have an idea of a photo I want to try http://forum.startascrapbook.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

Found out today that Costco does 8 x 12 prints! They are $1.45 if you bring them into the store to be printed, and a$1.49 if you upload them on line, same price as 8 x 10. I got 3 8 x 10's one 5 x 7 and 14 4 x 6 prints, and only spent $8.01 including tax, and they were ready in 2 hours. Beat that!

ziggyeor
05-14-2007, 04:42 AM
nope can't beat that. Wolf/Ritz will do 8X12 in store for 4.99 also the price for an 8X10 or 8X8. I could get 6x6 though for .49 or a 5X5.
on the site I'm looking at it says 12X12 is 14.99 but when I went to the store that was the price for members and it was 16.99 regular so it might be different when you go to the store.

Do you have to be a member of costco to get in or can you just go? I know there's one here.
