I love this idea! I'm going to see if DD wants to make them to give out to her class on valentines day. it's a great alternative to candy and more useful than a card.

she loved the idea and I already got started!

I have about 30 to make, but some are for boys. does anyone have any ideas on how to make these less girly? the ones I started are red, pink and white valentine paper I had from target $1 bins a few years ago. the embellishment I did in Photoshop instead of a stamp. there's a heart in the center and around it in a circle it says "i love to read" over and over to complete the circle of text. I'll print and cut out with a circle punch.

Maybe something like Cool Dude?

Cass, maybe use stars for the boys with red, white and blue paper.

These bookmarks are adorable.

Making bookmarks for the teacher to give as reading rewards is a great idea. I will have to make a bunch for my teacher friends.

I would love to make these for my second graders. I also think that teachers would like them.

Here's my entry into the fray. The stamp is from CTMH. After making 24 of these, it's much easier to buy the $2 box of character valentines!

Laura those turned out so cute, it might have been easier to buy them but not as special. Love that stamp. :)

Very cute bookmark. The kids will love them. And way nicer than a store bought Valentine.

That came out GREAT, Laura! I love it.
After making 29 for DD's class, now my son wants me to make some for his class.
