For the July Crop digi-challenge go to Shabby Princess and download the freebie called "Happy Go Lucky" HERE (http://www.shabbyprincess.com/downloads/happygolucky/happygolucky.asp)is the link. Create a digital or hybrid layout with this kit. Or print out parts of it and use on a paper layout or card.

Thanks for the link. I actually tried doing something on PSE with this. I made a colorblock LO using the patterned paper and got as far as putting picture into it when I decided to close the whole thing down without saving. I mucked up my computer so bad doing this project that it was taking forever for PSE or anything else to follow a command. I had around 20 layers going on PSE. Is that too much for it to handle?

I don't know about the amount of layers PSE can handle -- but, when you get a section done (and finished) flatten it (you won't be able to change it, once it's flatened) and then continue. I know the more layers the larger the file and space it will eat.

Thanks! How do you flatten it?

Under the Layer heading - on the very bottom there is a "flatten image". But, remember, once you flatten it -- you can't change that image.

Thanks so much. I'll keep that in mind and I'll have to try to figure out my work flow.

Hmmm....I've had many layers (at least 20) and haven't had a problem. I would try turning off any other running programs. It may help.
Also, if you want to do a quick layout, how about trying a layered template? There are many free ones out there.

I did have everything else closed. I have Vista so maybe that's the problem. I'm working on it again so hopefully I can post it tonight.

OK. Here it is, my very first digi LO.:o:eek::o

Cassie, you LO is awesome. I think if I start into digi LO's, I have to think about it differently than my paper LO's; they just have a different look.

thank you. I actually do thing about them the same as my paper layouts. I know there's so much more you can do with digital like with transparency, etc., but I think for the most part my style (whatever that is) stays the same.
