We're honoring our Mother's with cards and layouts, lets not forget our dad's! Make a father's day card. Doesn't have to be for your father. Could be your hubby, fil, bil, whoever. Let's get them done and out of the way!

Liked the idea of combining mine & DH's b'day colors (although neither one of them is us at all). Dec. 08 Pagemaps, old stash of Miss Elizabeth paper.

Here's a card for my DH's birthday that's coming up. It's a diarama 3-D card. It's the first one I made. I also used my brayer for the first time ever. There are all kinds of mistakes and I would do things differently next time.

Carol, love that green paper, it looks almost like denim to me.

Lulu, that is a wonderful card, so many layers of things going on. It's great.

Here's the card my son and I came up with for his dad. The card front is lightweight chipboard that I added some scoring too.

I love the scoring lines. They really give that added touch.

Leen, love how you did the scoring around the card, that looks neat. :)

Great card Leen. I love the score lines. How did you make them?

Thanks for the compliments everyone! LuLu, I made the score lines with my Scor-it board. I had read that it would score light weight chipboard but this was the first time I had tried it. I went over each line twice to make sure it had a good impression, although the first run didn't look bad at all.

I've been debating whether I want a Scor-It, Scor Pal or keep my fiskars's trimmer. How do you like your Scor-It?

Love it love it love it!! lol I've been real busy since I bought it, so haven't had a lot of time to use it, but just last night I used it three times for the cards I made. It makes folding the card base SO much easier! During the couple of weeks I have before the summer semester starts I want to try making some boxes, and knowing how easly it scored the chipboard I know I'll have some real strudy boxes. :)

I have a Scor-Pal mini... I love how well it works, but I am disappointed that I can't do anything bigger than 4x6 cards.

If I want to do larger I will use the groove in my Fiskars trimmer with a large end stylus (the score blade with the trimmer is horrible- it sometimes pushes through the paper).
