Let the art of Leonid Afremov inspire you. Use the colors, theme, emotion, style, maybe you have a photo that reminds you of this piece of art, or whatever floats your boat. Create a LO, card or altered item with your inspiration.

I will have to play when I get back from running errands...but I get to go to my fav LSS, the Nook, maybe I can find something there to help with this...baseball stuff perhaps?

I dropped about $30 at the Nook and my DH another $25, plus they were having an open house today along with the Paper Chase event. We just got back after running errands, including eeeek buying M's tickets so now I can get back to scrapping!

Now, Bonnie, I'm really interested in how you will tie this in with baseball.

Great use of color, Bonnie ~ I like the shapes of color they're a great playing field to showcase the pics.

Wow, Bonnie, I can totally see the color inspiration. The swirls kind of relate to the tree branches, too.

I did one with the colors, too, but it photographed so poorly that I don't even want to post it. It looks REALLY bad in the photo, but kind of cool in realy life - I have no idea why.

I tried re-photographing it, but it didn't seem to help. I'll post anyway.

I did it!!! :D When I first saw the picture I was immediately drawn to the bright yellow area of the trees. So I used the yellow with hints of red and orange as my inspiration. I made a birthday card. I used the orange as the back piece. I covered it with a piece of yellow that I used a border punch on so part of the orange shows at the bottom. I put a piece of red ribbon just over the top of the border. I used a glue rub on of a butterfly that I covered in red glitter. My border is the one that has a scallop and then a point. I used my red stickles to put a dot in the middle of each scallop. It's pretty basic, but I think it's pretty.

I found these at M's too and scooped them up, however I paid $2.99 each for them, but worth it.
