View Full Version : Source for storage

Tonight on our news, I was reminded of a reasonable place to get cabinets for storage. Have you ever checked out the Habitat for Humanity stores. Builders, remodelers, etc donate a lot of excess items, usable items removed from buildings, etc for resale to help support the program. It would be a good source for base cabinets to make a work area and storage for a scrap rroom. Salvage stores also.

My DS got carpet, tile, doors, and some furniture when he was helping remodel a rental he lived in, from the Habitat store.

When I get ready to turn half my garage into my scrap room, I'll definitely will be checking the town in our area.

We have one in Des Moines... great place to find treasures! You just have to keep checking because you never know what you might find. :)

Thanks for the reminder... I haven't been to our store in quite a while. Might have to check it out this weekend.

I don't know if I have one of those. I will have to look. That's a great idea and a great organization to support.

It seems like the Salvation Army stores in my area usually have a selection of dressers and cabinets as well, thanks for the tip!
