I wonder how far my circle cutter from fiskars goes?

Ziggy - I think most of them only go up to about 7 1/2" diameter. I had to use a plate for the last round one I did.

This without a doubt was the most difficult LO I've put together. I will probably tear apart and redo, but for the time being this is what I have...thanks for looking...any advice would be appreciated. Lisa

Do you have any doodle stamps for the solid brown?

Cass17
04-09-2007, 07:25 PM
Yeah, I thought that would be a very challenging one. I haven't had a chance to try it. We should have the whole month of April to work on that one! I have no idea how to do all that scroll work.
Lisa, is that you in the photo? I think it came out nice. What don't you like about it? Maybe adding another larger circle under the patterned one may add a little detail and lessen the solid brown. But I like it the way it is, too.

I'm thinking another patterend paper underneath it, emboss the brown paper or maybe that versamark with the watermark effect and use the doodle stamp like Cindy said.

Cindy, unfortunatly I am "stampless"; but that is a great idea. Cass, I'd have to say maybe another piece under the pp would make it better and yes that is me at the ripe old age of 9...lol Thanks Ziggy, I hadn't thought about stamping....you guys have given me a good reason to shop http://forum.startascrapbook.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gif I'm going to Raleigh Thursday and will look there for a stamp. Thanks all for your ideas! Lisa

Lisa,
I like your LO. I too think that a different color doodle would look good. I just finished this one tonite and will post tomorrow.

I think the site I took these from reversed the photos because I think mine look like the second photo, but called fluorishes.

Cass I just bought that top one and used it on this LO, just Luv them.
I didn't have a picture big enough for this one but will do another cause I really like this sketch. I think I have a 8x10 of the grandkids somewhere and may do that one. For now this is my DGD Lyndsey. I don't have a title as yet.

Nice layout, Donna. The stamping looks awesome. So is it the flourishes or swirls that you bought. I'm all mixed up now.

Flourishes, and just love them. I've wanted some of a long time and finally when I was at achievers they had some. HL had them for a bit but have been out for weeks now and I just COULD'NT wait another minute. LOL http://forum.startascrapbook.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif
Thanks for the kind comment on the LO. I think I have some pictures of my dgc that are bigger so may try this LO again with a different child.
